Product Description
The main winch is usually equipped with two lines and a moving block to lift the heavy load. A winch is a winch that directly drives a hydraulic motor. It shall be positioned to ensure that the upper pulley does not interfere with the balance winch line.
The winch control of the main winch is usually a three-position joystick that has the function of retracting the wire rope or releasing the winch from an important neutral position in the control circuit. The winch is rolled up by pulling the handle backwards and the end of the whip of the hoist is lifted. Push forward to pull it off the winch and the load drops.
The main winch usually has friction brakes controlled by the operator. Usually used when lifting or lowering equipment and installing certain equipment (such as electric tongs and other heavy objects) in the basket. There is no need to stop and suspend the load during lifting.
The circuit may be directly operated or pilot operated. For either, the joystick controls the speed and direction of the winch. Push the lever forward and a small amount will cause the winch to release the line slowly. If the lever is pushed further forward, more fluid is transferred to the winch motor and the line is pumped faster. The same is true when the line is occupied.
Balanced winch control
A balance winch is a single-wire direct lifting system used for light loads, such as picking up individual joints of tubing or drill pipe. It does not have the dual function of a two-line main winch system and its running block.
Balance winch control is also a joystick or joystick type control that controls direction and speed. It is usually a pilot circuit in which the joystick is spring-loaded to return to neutral position, thus suspending the load without using a static brake (although the winch can be equipped with one as a backup).
It is called a balance loop because it contains a hydraulic brake that acts as a balance valve. It includes a one-way valve and a pilot control slide valve which allows oil to flow freely to the motor in a tensioning direction and prevents oil from flowing out of the motor when the control valve is in neutral.
When the control valve is in the release position, the slide valve remains closed until sufficient pilot pressure is applied to the end of the slide valve to overcome the preset pressure shift and open the passage. After the spool valve splits, the pilot pressure depends on the flow rate, and the opening of the spool valve is adjusted to control the descent rate.
There are two types of hydraulic balance valves, lift type and spring type. Each one is adjustable. The use of a joystick for winch operation enables the winch to move loads in and out of the basket while suspended during hoisting without dropping loads onto the person below.
